Tosca's Charmin Beau (Red Dun grade quarter horse)

Age 20 +

Beau was my very first horse and has been a part of my life since I was twelve years old. He was a rather scraggly 2 year old when I first met him.  The picture on the right is of us when he was four and I was fourteen, my little sister Jenna and our dog Ghost who was the same age as Beau. The other photo is from a few years later, I was eighteen. I'll let you do the math.

Beau and I spent many happy years together. I think I spent more time riding bareback the anything else, especially during the cold Iowa winters. He was a great first horse, he only listened part of the time and it made me a stronger person. Beau is probably responsible for teaching me more about life then anyone else I have melt.

So why did I sale Beau, I found him a great home and he did not like being the herd babysitter.  Beau is now living about 20 minutes down the road with JayB and Ray.  They have given him a wonderful place to live out the rest of the days. He is very happy and JayB and I talk on a regular basis.  Thank you so much JayB and Ray for giving Beau such a great home!

Dakota Outlaw (Red Roan Appalossa)

Kota was never an outlaw even though he had been horribly abused before I got him. Over one long Iowa summer we worked together getting him to trust humans again.  We had a few broken lead lines, but nothing too terrible, he ended up being one of the most trusting horses I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  The summer came to an end and the people who were leasing Beau decided not to renew it.  I had two horses and my college tuition to pay.  I made the very tough decision to sale this young man. I found him a good home, but unfortunately she could not keep him and he was sold again. Kota I don't know where you are at now and I am sorry if I could have done it differently I would have.  I hope you have a happy life I think of you quite frequently.

I just dug through my photos and found photos of this striking guy. I have to scan them and post them, but if anyone has come across this guy please let me know I would love to know how he is doing!
