Horses For Sale
I must say all horses at Day Dream Farm are handled daily. We try to keep them happy and healthy with lots of turnout and interesting activities to keep their mind working. The great thing about Andalusian crosses is that they are very smart, and athletic so John and I are stretched to come up with creative things to teach them.
We start the horses very slowly and gently and no foals are backed until at they are at least 3 years old. When backing occurs we normally just start by laying across their backs. The training programs are designed to move at the rate of the horse, most of the time we have to slow them down. They learn so quickly that I have to keep reminding myself to not push them too hard.
All foals that are born on the farm a thoroughly imprinted and taught to lead, load, and tie. The babies are ponied off mom if possible on trail rides to allow them to see many different sights.
All horses are kept on a regular health care schedule, for vet and farrier and worming.
