Surveying the old property Why in the world do you insist on taking my picture lady?
John got Memphis when he was about eight weeks old, he apparently was a little hissing thing at that point and time, but John thought Memphis deserved a chance in a quieter situation. I am told there were quite a few other kittens their that were very people friendly, not Memphis though. John figured out the trick to bring Memphis around by going on travel for a few days, by the time John got home Memphis would not leave him alone. I came into the picture about two years later and Memphis has not forgiven me. I am the bachelor pad wrecker and I really do not belong in his house. He considers me useful as long as I make sure he has lots of food and water.
John tried a similar trick to try and get Memphis to bond with me, by dropping Memphis off with me and returning to Charleston to complete his time there. I do not think it worked, it was basically Memphis and I for about 5 months and I do not thing I was able to bring him around.
Well he wasn't impressed with all of the hullabaloo from the move and he certainly wasn't impressed at first by the addition of CC. We know he likes her, but he won't admit it even with these photos he tries to blow it off. As long as he thinks we are not looking he will groom her and let her snuggle up to him. Of course he snuggles with John, but up holds a strict no snuggle policy with me. Very frustrating for me because he is so soft and fuzzy.

Memphis and CC doing what cats do best
CC (Crazy Cat) birth date unknown
This little girl arrived on our front porch about two weeks before we closed on the new house. She has added an entirely new dimension to the household. She fulfils my need for something to cuddle, and acts as a great personal trainer for Memphis. John is just trying to keep the speaker wires protected so she cannot chew threw them anymore. Thankfully she has not decided to chew on something carrying a higher current.
Kitten energy as we deemed it it is rampant and there is normally never a dull moment. Every day she proves why her name was so perfect.
Looking out the bay window "Got Greenies?"
Time for a bath on my favorite pillow! Cuddling with the wrong human. She seems un-phased
One of the few times one of her "crazy" moments were caught on film. She is on the loft banister about 15 feet about the ground. She has not figured out that she can try and catch her tale yet through the bars. That discovery was made about two weeks late. Nothing quite like the expression on the face of a kitten trying to figure out why they are falling backwards when pulling on their own tale. Surprisingly she has not killed herself yet, but we figure she must have already used about eight of her nine lives.
Announcing our newest arrival to Day Dream Farm, Dobby the barn cat. I saw this little fur ball running across my lawn as I walked in from my barn. We have been wanting to get a barn cat and this one kind of fell in our laps. I unfortunately did not find her sibling in time and it passed away, but Dobby is now a happy, healthy and very rambunctious kitten. She has developed the most interesting "roaned/frosted" color since this photo was taken. Not sure what to call it, but she has been helping me with chores by attacking my legs as I walk down the isle. She definitely adds entertainment to my daily chores!!
Well I learned my lesson, neuter or spay early. The sooner the better. Dobby will be presenting us with more little barn cats in or around April. I will let her have one litter and then she will be fixed. That appointment has already been made. I am very embarrassed as I did not want to add to the cat over-population problem. We will keep one (it will be fixed immediately went it is old enough) and the others will be found a good forever home.
